Dear guests!
We are proud holders of the "EU ECOLABEL - EU ENVIRONMENTAL LABEL", which is the leading standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operations and represents the
commitment of providers to comply with STRICT CRITERIA set by the EU. By obtaining the mark, we have been recognized for EXCELLENCE IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY and SUSTAINABLE OPERATION.
We declare that:
- we act in an environmentally friendly manner in all areas of our business,
- we raise awareness of the importance of a sustainable approach among our visitors, guests, friends and relatives, and
- we constantly seek new solutions for the responsible handling of natural resources and for the efficient use of electricity and heat energy.
Such behavior is first and foremost beneficial for the natural environment. In most cases, this kind of care for the environment involves small measures that do not entail great effort or sacrifice of comfort for
any of us. All that is needed are simple and barely noticeable actions. But if we all tackle them together, we can change the world for the better and leave it to future generations as we inherited it from our
ancestors.
For this reason, management and employees - by following the guidelines written on the "environmental sparks", are committed to responsible behavior towards the environment, which we also encourage you - our
valued guests. An important condition for obtaining the environmental label is precisely awareness. We will be grateful if you follow the advice and thus contribute to preserving the environment together with us.
Our environmental sparks:
To maintain a satisfactory quality of life, a person uses an average of 80 liters of drinking water per day. In Slovenia, we use 130 to 200 liters of drinking water per household member per day. For just one
flush of the toilet, we use from 2 to 8 liters of clean drinking water, and for cooking, the average Slovenian household uses 6 liters of drinking water per day.
-
We drink tap water
Slovenia is one of the few countries that can boast of natural drinking water without prior treatment. Tap water is free and free of waste packaging
-
We conscientiously separate waste
We separate waste according to instructions. We always dispose of waste in appropriate containers and never in nature or in drains. There are separate waste bins in all corridors, marked for separate waste
collection.
-
We are reducing the use of plastic and paper
In Slovenia, we produced an average of 489 kg of municipal waste per capita in 2020. Annually, an individual in Slovenia uses from 100 to 300 plastic bags, which are only used for a few minutes to an hour. We
are producing more and more plastic in the world, of which 6.4 million tons end up in the environment. Plastic particles, however, invade our and animal bodies, thus negatively affecting the quality of our
health. WE AVOID THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC PRODUCTS. WE ARE REDUCING PAPER CONSUMPTION IN OFFICES, ROOMS, APARTMENTS, MEETING ROOMS.
-
We turn off the lights carefully, reducing our carbon footprint
Our facility has high-quality insulation and energy-saving windows. WE CLOSED DOORS AND WINDOWS. This prevents the rooms from heating up. We ventilate the rooms for a short time in the morning and evening.
This effectively reduces our carbon footprint.
-
We enjoy the local wealth of nature and cultural heritage
The natural and cultural heritage in our environment is exceptional - we inform guests about the surrounding natural sights and cultural events! GUESTS CAN OBTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT ATTRACTIONS, EXPERIENCES,
GASTRONOMY AND CUSTOMS FROM OUR EMPLOYEES.
-
We explore the surroundings with environmentally friendly types of mobility
Slovenia is ideal for cycling, using e-scooters and public transport. EVERY TRIP/SIGHTSEEING THAT A GUEST MAKES BY BIKE, E-SCOOTER, PUBLIC TRANSPORT OR ON FOOT, INSTEAD OF BY CAR, IS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY
FRIENDLY ACTION. You can get information about the possibilities of renting or renting bicycles and e-scooters from our employees.
-
We ensure economical use of detergents and water when washing
Factories around the world use tons of detergents and millions of liters of water every day to wash towels and bed linen that have been used only once. Towels are only changed at the request of the guest or
if they are left on the floor. WE THEREFORE CHANGE BEDLINEN AND TOWELS WITH EVERY CHANGE OF GUESTS, OR ONLY IF THEY EXPRESSLY WANT IT.
